Please join us for our first meeting of the New Year 2010.
We will be joined by Marcia K. Thompson, J.D., co-owner & CEO of Nanny 365. Marcia is an attorney and works in public source research. She has years of experience serving as a child legal advocate in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Joining her will be Dr. Kim Barnett, co-owner of Nanny 365, a licensed professional counselor and a Professor of Children's Studies at Bowie State University.
They will be discussing how you can use public source information to conduct research on people and the neighborhood you are considering working in. During the session, you will learn professional interviewing techniques to screen the employer and make sure they are a right fit for you as well. During this session we hope to empower you to have the confidence that you can select the right family that is suitable for you as a nanny.
Did the holidays make an overload of stuff at your house? Need to weed out items unused. We will be collecting gently used/new items for NCCF's. Unopened personal hygiene products, unopened cleaning supplies, infant supplies, party supplies, books (No textbooks or encyclopedias), toys, & sports equipment.
